Brand identity and product design for a consumer video app.

Slashvideo is a new way to consume video online, and Keith’s job was to bring a nascent idea to life in the form of a brand identity, website content, and apps. The color palette is fun, bold, and active, reflecting the diversity and vibrance of the internet and online video.

  1. Keith started this project by wireframing the entire experience, starting with the overlay. This overlay is available to any website using the SlashVideo code, and it is triggered when a consumer clicks on a video.

  2. Keith and the team created a user interface that would translate easily to mobile.

  3. The business goals were to create an immersive viewing experience, ensure it could work on any website, and allow consumers to passively consume more content of interest to them.

  4. Keith moved on to defining the user experience for the iOS apps.

  5. Keith mapped out the workflow for a first–time viewer, a crucial step in the funnel. New viewers would be taken to a discovery screen when they signed up, or they could choose to skip the signup process completely and dive right in to explore the content.

  6. The iPad app serves up a continuous feed of content that consumers are interested in.

  7. Consumers can discover more of the content they want to follow.

  8. The apps remember which online channels you’re following.

  9. Watch videos in a clean, native experience across the SlashVideo apps.
